BS EN 50604-1:2016 specifies test procedures and provides acceptable safety requirements for voltage class A and voltage class B removable lithium-ion battery (packs and) systems, to be used as traction batteries of or for electrically propelled road vehicles. This European Standard is related to the testing of safety performance of battery packs and systems for their intended use for a vehicle. 

This European Standard is not intended to be applied for the evaluation of the safety of battery packs/systems storage, vehicle production, repair and maintenance services. 

Light EV includes all electrically propelled two, three and four wheeled vehicles of category L1 up to Category L7 according to the definition of ECE/TR ANS-WP29-78r2e and all electrically propelled or assisted cycles including plug-in hybrid road vehicles (PHEV), that derive all or part of their energy from on-board rechargeable energy storage systems (RESS). 

This European Standard enables setting up a dedicated test plan for an individual battery pack/system subject to an agreement between customer and supplier. If required, the relevant test procedures and/or test conditions of lithium-ion battery packs and systems may be selected from the standard tests provided in this standard to configure a dedicated test plan. 

This European Standard applies to all battery systems intended to be used in conjunction with products or systems described in the IEC/TS 61851-3 series. 

NOTE Testing on cell level is specified in the IEC 62660 series. 

This European Standard does not apply to:

·        lithium cells;

·        batteries other than lithium ion types;

·        primary Batteries(including lithium types);

·        batteries covered by the ISO 12405- series.

2016年8月，歐盟頒布了輕型電動(dòng)車(chē)（LEV）用鋰電池安全技術(shù)要求EN 50604-1，標(biāo)準(zhǔn)中對(duì)LEV用鋰電池提出了具體的測(cè)試項(xiàng)目及要求，為這類(lèi)鋰電池進(jìn)入歐盟市場(chǎng)提供了依據(jù)準(zhǔn)則。

適用范圍

用于輕型電動(dòng)車(chē)(LEV)的鋰離子電池（要求電壓等級(jí)為Class A 或Class B)

1．Class A: 交流電壓≤30V, 或直流電壓 ≤60V;

2．Class B: 30V<交流電壓≤1000V 或60V<直流電壓≤1500V;

3．LEV: 以電力驅(qū)動(dòng)的，根據(jù) ECE/TR ANS-WP29-78r2e規(guī)定的 L1~L7類(lèi)型的兩輪，3輪及4輪車(chē)

測(cè)試要求

機(jī)械測(cè)試：振動(dòng)，機(jī)械沖擊，跌落測(cè)試和塑料外殼陽(yáng)光照射變化測(cè)試

環(huán)境測(cè)試：結(jié)露測(cè)試(溫濕度變化)，溫度沖擊循環(huán)測(cè)試

模擬車(chē)輛事故測(cè)試：擠壓，浸水，燃燒，過(guò)溫，低溫等測(cè)試

4．電氣測(cè)試：短路測(cè)試，接觸電流測(cè)試

5．系統(tǒng)功能：過(guò)充測(cè)試，散熱失效測(cè)試

歐盟各成員國(guó)須出版與EN 50604-1等同標(biāo)準(zhǔn)或直接引用此標(biāo)準(zhǔn)作為國(guó)家標(biāo)準(zhǔn)要求。

2019年

歐盟成員國(guó)所有與此標(biāo)準(zhǔn)有沖突的標(biāo)準(zhǔn), 需要作廢。

07.04起

所有進(jìn)入歐盟輕型電動(dòng)車(chē)用鋰電池，必須符合EN 50604-1的要求，結(jié)束了此類(lèi)電池原本沒(méi)有具體依據(jù)準(zhǔn)則的混亂狀況。 各廠商也需要提前評(píng)估好此類(lèi)標(biāo)準(zhǔn)， 做好進(jìn)入歐洲市場(chǎng)的準(zhǔn)備。
